Accounts and minutes for April 1923 indicate that William Sheehan, Gibson Bequest Scholar, received remittance of £20 on 30 April 1923 to cover the four-week period until the following 29 May. Sheehan, best known for his painting, The Consultation (1917), had embarked upon his scholarship to Madrid earlier that year.
