'Thinking like an artist’ with Avril O'Brien (Ages 13+)

In this workshop, your sketchbook will be used as a tool to explore connections between ideas and the development of your own personal visual language.

Through experimentation and with guidance, we will develop an awareness of how the creative process works.

Taking our inspiration from the exhibitions on display in the gallery, we will explore the habits of the mind that help us to "think like an artist", including: Observation, Skills Development, Exploration, Reflection, Envisioning, Understanding Art worlds and Persistence.

This course takes place Thursdays evenings 6.15 - 7.45 pm
Fee for 10 sessions is €50 (payable to Crawford Art Gallery).

All materials supplied.
